CURRENT VACANCIES AT PIONEER CENTRE

SALES CO-ORDINATOR (Full Time)

Location: Pioneer Centre, Cleobury Mortimer, Kidderminster, DY14 8JG

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week 

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to be instrumental in the Sales growth and Administration of our bookings system.

The Pioneer Centre is an established Activity and Conference Centre providing services for Schools, Youth Groups, Faith Groups and Not for Profit Organisations.

The main purpose of this role:

  • To process all enquiries, maintaining accurate records and use the agreed systems
  • To research and contact new businesses relevant to the centre by telephone and email build relationships for new groups
  • To support the bookings administrator, guest services and liaise with other departments to ensure clear communication of client requirements
  • To work with the Marketing Team to help create relevant promotional material

ACTIVITY INSTRUCTORS (Full Time)

Description:

We are recruiting for our instructor team here at the Pioneer Centre. This is a full-time position, 37.5 hrs/wk.

Would you like to be a part of a great team that is all about releasing potential in young people?

This role’s main objective is to deliver high-quality activities and facilitate learning experiences that help young people grow in confidence and become more resilient.

Some duties include:

  • To instruct activity sessions and facilitated learning experiences for residential and day visitor groups
  • To liaise with group leader to ensure that programs are encouraging growth in participants and hitting the desired aims

ASSISTANT DINING ROOM MANAGER (Full Time 37.5hrs/week)

We’re looking for a full-time Assistant Dining Room Manager to join our friendly and hardworking catering team at the Pioneer Centre. You’ll support the Catering Manager in the smooth and efficient running of our busy dining room, ensuring guests receive a warm welcome and an excellent standard of service during their stay.
 
This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in hospitality or food service supervision, who enjoys leading a team, staying organised, and delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
 
At the Pioneer Centre, we host a wide range of residential and day groups, from schools and youth organisations to churches and more. We’re passionate about creating memorable experiences for our guests, and that starts with great hospitality and warm, welcoming meals.

HOUSE TEAM MEMBER (18hrs)

We are recruiting for house team here at the Pioneer Centre. This is a part-time position, 18 hrs/wk.

What you do?

      • Help ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and appearance are maintained throughout our site.

      • To assist on change over days, Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays 8.30am-3pm (open to flexibility).

        1. To help maintain the highest possible standards in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and dietary requirements.
        1. To help ensure a high level of kitchen hygiene and cleaning is maintained at all times.
        1. To adhere to health and safety regulations in all areas of work.
        1. To help ensure food is stored in the correct manner to avoid wastage.
        1. To assist in the completion of daily schedules or any special project as requested by the Catering Manager.
        1. To help ensure only ample food is produced to give guests and staff eligible for meals the correct portions.
        1. To assist in any other work that may be required to ensure the smooth running of the centre.

      • Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner

      • Re-setting the dining area between meals

      • Assisting in the wash-up area

      At Pioneer Centre there are always multiple of positions and possibilities that might be available. We are always seeking dedicated and hard working people who are enthusiastic about providing young people with a fantastic experience. This can be in helping maintain the facilities, ensuring a high quality service, serving in dining room, or cleaning. There maybe a range of work or departments that casual work and zero hour contracts could apply to, from maintenance, cleaning teams, serving and clearing in the dining room, kitchen food preparations, or activity instruction.

      This is a zero-hour contract, and might include evenings, weekends and bank holidays as per casual work applied.
